Band members are **Liz Wall**, **Amanda Berry** and **Julie Holland**, three singer songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. **The Cartwheel Pennies** perform their own original material, weaving powerful harmonies into their varied repertoire which draws on folklore and historical events. Liz, Amanda and Julie’s first studio album was released earlier this year Tracks from the album have been played on *BBC Introducing* in the East Midlands and the song ‘*Top of her Tree*’ was selected as ‘track of the day’ for various local radio stations and was called ‘just joyful’. A recent review of the album said that while UK female folk trios remain few and far between, **The Cartwheel Pennies** are a fine addition to that currency.
