Who: Showcasw with Squire Gillespie and Harper's Dove The first of our "Local Hero" Showcases Squire Gillespie: Squire Gillespie are **Colin Squire** and **Carole Gillespie** who have been singing together since the 1990s both as a duo and as **Poachers Pocket** with **Campbell Perry**. Singing mainly contemporary and self-penned folk songs and they love some audience participation, so gird up your vocal cords! Colin & Carol also run Folk In The Lounge at The Denbigh Arms in Monk's Kirby **Harper's Dove**: Harper's Dove are **Campbell Perry** and **Ruth Noble**; a Warwickshire-based duo who specialise in traditional, contemporary and original folk songs. Many of Campbell’s songs have a strong personal connection, yet are subtle explorations of universal themes and are rooted in the storytelling tradition. Ruth has an interest in crafting new and unique interpretations of traditional songs. Both are singers and they also play a range of string, reed and woodwind instruments. Formed in 2025, **Harper's Dove** are currently recording their first album and run the New Heart Of England Folk Club
